The New Studio is Officially Done!!

Updated: Jan 10, 2020

Grand Reopening & Open House | Sunday, November 17th between 12 and 4 pm

As many of you may already know, Hannah Rachael Photography has moved!!

Dont worry, I didn't go anywhere far. In fact, I am below my old studio in a space double the size. You'll still see my logo as you travel to Arethusa & Bantam Bread down on 202 and you'll still hear the rushing waters of the river behind me!

It started as an open blank slate. All the walls were gray and the windows were boarded shut.

Now, it's literally a work of art! I had 9 days to transform the space from this.

TO THIS!!

There was a lot of blood, sweat, and wine that went into this place!!

I have two doors to enter the studio. A side door that you see the gallery wall and gallery lights down the hallway of the whole building and two adorable black French doors into the main sitting area.

I hand painted a gorgeous distressed stormy wall ( You can find the blog here on how to recreate it! ) and then the next day, while my back was still sore, I had painted a gold flake merlot wall. I wanted to create a space that was magical. I wanted rooms so unique that you wouldn't find them anywhere else in Connecticut. But I also wanted a place that was comfortable and felt like a home you wanted to live in.

Knowing me, I'll still probably change it up and move things around but will all this extra space, I think I'll be happy for a while. I no longer had to choose which ME I wanted to bring out in the decor. I got my adventurous bohemian studio set, the dripping gold bedroom set, and of course my favorite stormy moody area.

I couldn't have done this without my parents. They showed up and moved the whole studio downstairs in one day, then left to let me decorate in my brain haha. They knew exactly where I needed help and when I needed to be left alone. So thank you Mom and Dad.

Now that its done, I'd like to invite you all to my open house and official grand reopening on November 17th from 12pm to 4pm!!! Join us for some drinks, delicious snacks, and of course to enjoy this beautiful building and all the other awesome artists inside!

I will be hosting fun events, fine art nude drawing nights, and opening it up to rent too!

Stay tuned and keep following... this is going to be a fun year!

xo - Hannah
